BRCP Staff Member of the Month:

Chef Warren Bernstein - Culinary Arts Instructor

The following was said of Chef:

-Mr. Bernstein not only prepares delicious eats, but he brings in a positive outlook in every day. He's always joking around with all students and staff. He takes the time to challenge his students to help them reach their full potential. He ensures that the board and chamber members have excellent lunches. The students love when food days happen and that the menu isn't always the same. Mr. Bernstein is always looking for ways to improve himself and those around him.

-I nominated Chef because he makes us food often. Warren does a lot of things behind the scenes as far as cooking for Luncheons, Breakfasts, board mtgs and counselor meetings. He does so much for the staff, students, and community.

-Chef is always bringing positivity to conversations among staff. He is always encouraging myself and others to get needed work done/offering help. He has shown up this year with a new outlook.

Alumni of the Month: Lily Baker

Lily Baker is a 2018 graduate of Morristown High School. She attended BRCP in 2016-17 for Health Science 1 and 2017-18 for Work-Based Learning.

When asked in what ways did BRCP have an impact on you, Lily replied: "BRCP has had a profound impact on my academic and professional journey. The health science class I took during my junior year provided a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, effectively preparing me for college. In my senior year, the internship program allowed me to solidify my career path in occupational therapy while gaining valuable hands-on experience. BRCP equipped me with essential professional skills, including interview techniques and interprofessional collaboration. These skills have been instrumental as I prepare to enter the workforce, applying for occupational therapy positions ahead of my graduation in May with a doctorate in occupational therapy. I am incredibly grateful to Mrs. Hagerty and Mr. Schebler, whose guidance and support have been pivotal to my success, not only in my academic pursuits, but also in shaping my professional future."

When asked what advice would you give to our students today, Lily replied: "I encourage all current and future BRCP students to fully embrace their time in their chosen program and build meaningful connections. Many of the friendships I formed through BRCP remain an important part of my life today. I highly recommend taking the time to thoroughly learn the material, as it will serve as a strong foundation for your future endeavors. I also urge students to maintain relationships with their instructors beyond graduation. They are invaluable mentors and resources who can provide guidance and support as you navigate your career and professional growth."
